Search Aid for Engineering and Business Information

This system performs Federated searches or simultaneous searches over multiple abstracting services, Web sites, and online catalogs.

This federated search system bridges the gap between the library catalog, locally licensed electronic resources, and free internal and external electronic resources. This solution provides the flexible ability to retrieve both popular search engine content and hidden materials either not found or not accessible through search engines. The need to learn multiple search interfaces of various electronic resources is reduced by providing one user interface in one location. This collaborative project, between the Grainger Engineering and the Business & Economics Library, serves as a finding aid for technology and management information.
