In memory of William W. Hay, Professor of Railroad Engineering at UIUC for over 30 years.
This collection was donated to the University of Illinois Library in January of 2001 by the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (a subsidiary of the Association of American Railroads) and the Federal Railroad Administration.
The Grainger Engineering Library at the University of Illinois is the designated repository for the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA).
The William W. Hay Collection at the Grainger Engineering Library is affiliated with the Association of American Railroads and the Federal Railroad Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
